Bleach Episode 127 Summary
Rangiku arrives at Keigo’s home to find Ikkaku wearing a very uncharacteristic shirt that he’s putting up with because he’s getting free room and board. She’s here to tell them about the key, but first she has to handle Keigo coming after her. Over at Urahara’s, Yoruichi brings Inoue to the training area where Sado and Renji are fighting. Having been informed about the key by Rangiku already, Urahara thinks that there will be many casualties when the time comes, and so they’ll need more fighters than ever before. Inoue wants to get stronger too, but to her surprise, Urahara asks her to stay out of this. He cites one of the reasons to be Tsubaki, her offensive ability fairy that got completely destroyed by Yammy. Sado objects to this because Inoue fought with them when they were in Soul Society and because she has healing abilities, but Urahara thinks the Fourth Division would do a better job with that. When Urahara states that a soldiers who’s lost his power would just get in the way, Inoue excuses herself and runs out. She unexpectedly encounters Rukia on her way out and breaks down in tears. After listening to Inoue’s story, Rukia takes her side even though Inoue now seems resigned to the fact that she’s too weak. Rukia feels that it is unfair for Inoue to be excluded now, but Inoue sees the situation different.
Inoue knows that she’d be lonely if she were unable to fight with everyone, however she hates getting in people’s way even more, so she’s okay with being lonely. Rukia responds to this by saying that it’s not the people who don’t have strength that get in the way during a battle but rather those who lack determination. She feels that there must be something Inoue can do and proposes that they find out what together. Suddenly, their conversation is interrupted by Hiyori jumping between them and carrying Inoue off because Hachigen wanted to talk with her. Hiyori brings Inoue back to the Vizard training area where Hachigen introduces himself and examines her hairpin. He thinks its something similar to a zanpaktou and offers to heal it for her since they have similar types of abilities. True to his word, Hachigen makes Tsubaki appear again, and Inoue is overjoyed. However, Hachigen also suggests that Inoue not fight because their abilities aren’t fit for battle. Since Inoue still wants to fight despite everything, Hachigen advises her that what’s important is not how she should but rather how she wants to. With these words in mind, Inoue steps out of the warehouse and finds Rukia waiting for her. Rukia doesn’t require an explanation from Inoue because she can feel Ichigo’s spiritual pressure here and is content knowing that he’s safe. As she leaves with Rukia, Inoue thinks to herself that she’s going to move forward without looking back. When she meets Ichigo again, hopefully she’ll be able to fight without hiding behind him.
Meanwhile, in Hueco Mundo, Ulquiorra pays a visit to Yammy who is currently getting his arm reattached. Yammy isn’t happy with it, but Ulquiorra reminds him that at least they were able to bring it back and have it reattached unlike Grimmjow who got his completely destroyed. Grimmjow had been stripped of his Espada status as a result, but Yammy still retains his ranking as the number 10 Espada. To test out his arm, Yammy immediately smacks the Arrancar nurse who healed him into the nearby wall, and still he complains about it. Aizen meanwhile is watching video of Inoue from the previous battle with Ulquiorra and Yammy and finds her powers quite interesting.
Bleach Episode 126 Summary
Hitsugaya is surprised to see Hinamori, but he quickly realizes that she finally woke up. When Hinamori apologizes for doubting him and pointing her sword at him, Hitsugaya acts like he doesn’t care about small things like that and instead urges her to go back to bed since she looks so tired. After teasing her about her looks, he reminds her to call him Captain Hitsugaya as opposed to the “Hitsugaya-kun” that she normally uses. A moment of silences passes before Hinamori asks if Hitsugaya is going to fight and kill Aizen. She desperately wants him to save Aizen and thinks that Ichimaru or someone forced Aizen to do it. Before she can get too far with this however, Yamamoto steps in and knocks her out with one hand motion in front of her face. The commander suggests that they might have let her do this too early and then bids Hitsugaya farewell. Around this time, over at Urahara’s, Sado is going through some rigorous training against Renji in ban kai form. Renji had initially not wanted to do this, but Urahara had earlier convinced Renji to train Sado because Sado needed opponents who had achieved ban kai and Urahara’s own ban kai was not suited for it. Renji had eventually agreed to the training after Urahara offered to answer all his questions in three months. Now, as he watches the two men fight, Urahara thinks to himself that Sado’s power isn’t Shinigami or Quincy, but rather something else.
Inoue meanwhile has tracked down the building hidden behind a special barrier that Ichigo is in and notices that the barrier feels similar to her own power, so she’s able to pass through it. Inside the training area, Ichigo is fighting Hiyori with short bursts of putting on his Hollow mask. The point of this training is to extend the length of time Ichigo can keep the mask on, but the length that Ichigo can currently manage is only four seconds. The Vizards all had to go through this training with the exception of the female Vizard named Mashiro who was able to keep on her mask for 15 hours from the very beginning. Hachigen suddenly detects someone entering the barrier he set up that is impenetrable to Shinigami demon arts, and to their surprise, Inoue appears. After learning about Aizen’s plot and the special key, Ichigo tells Inoue not to worry and promises to stop Aizen because he can get stronger. Inoue notices how calm Ichigo is and attributes it to how he’s found his strength and became stronger. Realizing that she needs to get stronger too, Inoue leaves and runs into Yoruichi outside. Yoruichi had been looking for Inoue because Urahara wanted to talk with her. Back inside, Love questions how Inoue was able to get through Hachigen’s barrier, so the large Vizard reveals that Inoue seems to have the same power that he does, even though she’s only a human.
Training is also continuing at this time between Ishida and his father. Ishida is spending most of his time running away from his father’s blasts and attempting to counterattack with his silver tubes of stored spiritual energy. He recognizes that his father’s spiritual energy is getting weaker, so he decides to stop his father from moving with his last silver tube. The technique, however, does not work on Ryuuken, and father shoots son in the chest with a spirit arrow. After Ishida falls, Ryuuken reveals that the only way for a Quincy to regain his powers is for that person to be taken to the limit mentally and physically before being hit with an arrow exactly 19mm to the right of the sinoatrial node of the heart. With his son lying on the ground with a star shape now on his chest, Ryuuken is disgusted with how Ishida didn’t use the right technique earlier with the silver tubes. Still, he’ll let Ishida off the hook for tonight.
Bleach Episode 125 Summary
Ichigo wakes up in a mysterious world facing a Zaraki Kenpachi that is ready to kill him. In the real world, the almost completely Hollow form of Ichigo is now fighting against the Vizard named Love. Watching from outside the force field, Kensei tells Lisa that out of their group, Hiyori took the longest to do this with a time of 69 minutes and 2 seconds. In comparison, Ichigo has already taken 68 minutes and 44 seconds. Back inside the mysterious world, Ichigo tries to tell Zaraki that their fight is already over, but Zaraki asserts that a fight isn’t over until only one person is left standing and that you don’t need a reason to fight. Zaraki claims that Ichigo wants to fight and wants power - they were born that way. With Zaraki urging him to fight and memories of his past battles filling his mind, Ichigo finally regains his senses in the sideways world and pulls the sword out of his abdomen. He proceeds to stab through Hollow Ichigo with it, and it turns Hollow Ichigo black, just like him. Hollow Ichigo decides to let Ichigo be king for now, but he warns that if Ichigo lets down his guard even a little, he’ll crush Ichigo. He also says that if Ichigo wants to control his real power, then Ichigo needs to stay alive until his Hollow side appears again. While this had been going on, the Hollow Ichigo in the real world had been charging up a Cero blast to fire at Love, but it never came because the internal fight ended. Following a large explosion, the real Ichigo sheds the Hollow skin and falls to the ground soon after. He tells Shinji that it doesn’t feel bad, and then tells himself that he won’t let his Hollow side crush him.
Inoue is meanwhile coming back from school while trying to keep from being depressed about Ichigo not showing up. She thinks about going out for snacks with Tatsuki, but then remembers that Tatsuki hasn’t been energetic recently either. When she gets home, she finds that Hitsugaya and Rangiku have installed a special giant television screen in her apartment that allows them to communicate with Soul Society. Using it, Hitsugaya contacts Yamamoto and learns that the Aizen’s true objective has been confirmed. Ukitake had been investigating the Great Library of Spirits when he discovered a document unrelated to the Hougyoku that Aizen had accessed. This document had been about the ouken - the key of the royal family. Inoue doesn’t know what they’re talking about, so Rangiku and Yamamoto explain that there is a king of Soul Society who has a symbolic and absolute existence. This king lives in a different dimension inside of Soul Society, and the key opens up that dimension. From all of this, Yamamoto has concluded that Aizen intends to kill the king, but it’s more complicated than that. The location of the key is only orally passed down between generations of the commanders of the Gotei 13, so there are no written records. What Aizen had been looking at was the way to create the key, and this requires 100,000 souls along with a juureichi - a place in the real world that is a spiritual singularity. This places turns out to be none other than Karakura Town, and if Aizen completes a key in the way the documents say to, then everything around there would be wiped out forever.
Fortunately, the Gotei 13 are here to stop him, and they have four months before the Hougyoku awakens completely. Until then, Aizen can’t get his units in order and move out. Yamamoto estimates that the decisive battle will be fought this winter, so they need to train and prepare for it. He also specifically asks for the help of Inoue and everyone in the real world, so he wants her to go tell Ichigo. After Inoue runs out, Rangiku leaves too to go tell Ikkaku, but Yamamoto stops Hitsugaya from going with her because there’s someone who’s been waiting to speak with him: Hinamori. At this time, Renji is training Sado and Ryuuken is training his son as Inoue hurries her way towards Ichigo.
